Who we are
Chris + Colt
So here’s a little ditty about Colt and his Dad. The farm was purchased back in 2003 back when digital cameras had floppy disks. It was in despair. With a lot of blood, sweat and tears it’s become our home. I first started growing ornamental trees here and slacked off when the recession hit. No one was building so they sure didn’t need any trees for their yards that were being foreclosed on.
Fast forward to 2011 when the boss man arrives. Life changes and you’re finally able to start showing this little guy how things are grown. He’s been my number 1 helper since he could walk and he still is to this day! This farm was bought with the hopes of raising a kid who would love the outdoors as much as his old man does and if anyone knows him, then they know my plan is working. We’ve been growing flowers for several years now and grew about 4 acres of pumpkins in 2016. The flowers have always been a passion of mine ever since I started working for NCDOT. And up until the last couple of years I’ve kept it to myself.
So this year will be our 7th year being open to the public. If you want a change of scenery from the normal white fences and have a love flowers with mountains and sunsets, then this is your place. We’d love to have you come by and visit for a while. We’re not claiming to be flashy, but I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
We hope to see you out at the farm soon.
